Background

Nitric oxide is a reactive free radical which acts as a biologic mediator in several processes, including neurotransmission and antimicrobial and antitumoral activities. This gene encodes a nitric oxide synthase that is inducible by a combination of lipopolysaccharide and certain cytokines. Three transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2015]

Untreated (–) and treated (+) Raw264.7 whole cell extracts (30 μg) were separated by 5% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with iNOS antibody [HL1213] (GTX636531) diluted at 1:1000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody (GTX213110-01) was used to detect the primary antibody, and the signal was developed with Trident ECL plus-Enhanced.
