Summary There are two major classes of heat stable microtubule associated proteins (MAPS): MAP 2 (280 kD), and Tau (55-65 kD). Both classes of heat stable MAPS have a role in the regulation of microtubule polymerization in cells. The antibody reacts on immunoblots with Tau proteins and with Tau from Alzheimer paired helical filaments. The antibody does not recognize MAP 1, MAP 2, MAP 5 or tubulin. These antibodies bind both phosphorylated and non-phosphorylated Tau proteins.
We do not recommend use of this product for Mouse,Rat.
