Summary This antibody recognizes specifically HLA-DR molecules, both peptide-loaded and empty.

Summary Detects a monomorphic determinant on HLA-DR, a human Class II histocompatability antigen. Reacts with B lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, activated T cells, thymic epithelium, B cell dependent areas of spleen and lymph nodes, and B cell lymphomas. It inhibits T cell function at the clonal level.

Summary This antibody recognizes common epitope on human HLA-DR which is dependent on the association of alpha and beta chains. Recognized epitope is conserved after fixation with glutaraldehyde and formaldehyde. DR is the isotype of human MHC Class II molecules expressed on antigen-presenting cells (APC; dendritic cells, B lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages).

Summary It does not cross-react with HLA-DP or HLA-DQ.
