In Western blotting of cultured human keratinocytes, this MAb reacts with a 120kDa protein. It stains the involucrin in a variety of sizes: 170kDa in MCF-7 cells, a doublet of ~115kDa and 150kDa in gorilla and owl monkey, 66kDa in dog, and a doublet of 105kDa in pig. Its epitope maps between codon 421-568 of human involucrin.
We do not recommend use of this product for Mouse.

Summary GTX74884 recognises the 200kD neurofilament protein in a range of species. The antibody stains various tumours including phaeochromocytoma, paraganglioma and ganglioneuroblastoma._x000B_It has also been demonstrated that GTX74884 also recognises a phosphorylation dependent epitope on microtubule associated protein 1B (MAP1B) and on Tau in Western blots. Reactivity of the antibody with MAP1B and Tau is not seen under the conditions for immunohistochemistry.
