Summary This antibody recognizes the apoptosis-linked gene-2 interacting protein X (ALIX). Clone 3A9 has been used extensively for the detection of ALIX by Western blotting and for the identification of an ALIX homologue in the sea urchin Paracentrotus lividus.

Summary This antibody detects several members of the heat shock protein 70 kDa (HSP70) gene family including HSP70, HSC70, GRP78, and following heat shock, HSP72. It is the first monoclonal antibody reported to react with the ATP binding region of HSP70 and an epitope in the amino terminus of HSP70.

Summary Monoclonal Anti-Myosin (Skeletal, Slow) recognizes an epitope located on the heavy meromyosin portion of human adult skeletal muscle slow myosin. Cross-reactivity has been observed with human, bovine, sheep, goat, porcine, dog, cat, rabbit, hamster, guinea pig, rat, mouse, and chicken. In rat, the product is highly specific for the slow myosin heavy chain of adult skeletal muscle. It does not react with the fast myosin heavy chain. It does not cross-react with embryonic or neonatal rat skeletal myosins, nor with cat fetal/embryonic skeletal myosin. Using immunohistochemical staining, the antibody reacts with human adult type I skeletal muscle fibers and with cardiac muscle cells. It also reacts faintly with adult human C-Fibers, co-expressing myosin heavy chain I and IIa in variable ratios. The product shows no reactivity with human or rat adult smooth muscle or with non-muscle tissues.

Summary The antibody recognizes an epitope located on the α3 isoform of Chlamydomonas axonemal α-tubulin, within four residues of Lys-40 when this amino acid is acetylated. A sequence very similar to the one detected by the antibody in Chlamydomonas is found in the majority of α-tubulins, but the corresponding region is markedly divergent in some α-tubulin isoforms from chicken, Drosophila and yeast. The antibody has been used to detect acetylated α-tubulins in several organisms. Occasionally, the epitope recognized by the antibody may be absent or masked as it is in the kangaroo rat epithelial-like cell line PtK2.

Summary This antibody detects ADP-ribosylation factor1 (Arf1), Arf3, Arf5 and Arf6 and about ten-fold less well with Arf4.
