Background

The glycine receptor consists of two subunits, alpha and beta, and acts as a pentamer. The protein encoded by this gene is an alpha subunit and can bind strychnine. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Mouse tissue extract (50 μg) was separated by 10% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with Glycine Receptor alpha 2 antibody (GTX105634) diluted at 1:2000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody (GTX213110-01) was used to detect the primary antibody.
