This antibody detects all three species of Chlamydia HSP60 with minimal cross-reactivity with Borrelia burgdorferi HSP60. It does not react with E. coli GroEL. Epitope mapping studies suggest that this antibody binds to a linear sequence of Chlamydia HSP60 amino acids 517-522.
