Background

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of kinesin-like protein family. Proteins of this family are microtubule-dependent molecular motors that transport organelles within cells and move chromosomes during cell division. This protein is important for anaphase chromosome segregation and may be required to coordinate the onset of sister centromere separation. [provided by RefSeq]

Sample: HeLa cells were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde at RT for 15 min.
Green: MCAK protein stained by MCAK antibody [N1N3] (GTX103013) diluted at 1:500.

Whole cell extract (30 μg) was separated by 7.5% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with MCAK antibody [N1N3] (GTX103013) diluted at 1:1000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody (GTX213110-01) was used to detect the primary antibody.
