Background

Neuronal cell surface protein thought to be involved in cell-cell-interactions by forming intercellular junctions through binding to beta-neurexins. Seems to play role in formation or maintenance of synaptic junctions. In vitro, triggers the de novo formation of presynaptic structures (By similarity). May be involved in specification of excitatory synapses.

Neuroligin 1 antibody detects Neuroligin 1 protein by immunofluorescent analysis.
Sample: DIV14 rat E18 primary cortical neurons were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde at RT for 15 min.
Green: Neuroligin 1 protein stained by Neuroligin 1 antibody (GTX133208) diluted at 1:500.
Red: beta Tubulin 3/ Tuj1, stained by beta Tubulin 3/ Tuj1 antibody [GT1338] (GTX631831) diluted at 1:500.

Various tissue extracts (75 μg) were separated by 7.5% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with Neuroligin 1 antibody (GTX133208) diluted at 1:1000.
