Recombinant Rabbit mAb for Oligodendrocyte transcription factor 2 (Olig2)

Oligodendrocyte transcription factor 2 (Olig2) is essential for normal oligodendrogenesis as well as neuronal and glial cell specification in both the developing and mature central nervous system (CNS) (1). OLIG2’s role in promoting the growth of oligodendrogliomas and other CNS (and non-CNS) tumors, its involvement in at least two neurodevelopmental disorders, and its indispensable function in remyelination, have made it a focus of great research interest. Pragmatic therapeutic targeting of OLIG2 will depend on additional research to identify the downstream effectors regulated by this pivotal protein (2).

GeneTex’s Olig2 antibody [HL1072] (GTX636104) is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody with demonstrated performance for ICC/IF, IHC-P, and IHC-Fr applications in mouse and rat samples (see images below). To learn more about GeneTex’s recombinant antibodies, please see www.genetex.com.
