Adrenal gland – A variable intensity MCM3 immunostaining occurs in a fraction of adrenal cells
Aorta, media
Appendix, mucosa – A strong MCM3 immunostaining is seen in crypt cells of the appendical mucosa. Many lymphocytes are also positive
Appendix, muscular wall – Some smooth muscle cells exhibit a faint MCM3 staining. A moderate to strong MCM3 also occurs in some other cell types
Bone marrow – A strong MCM3 immunostaining occurs in the majority of bone marrow cells

Lung
Lymph node – Many lymphocytes are MCM3 positive. A particularly strong MCM3 positivity occurs in most cells of germinal centres and also in scattered individual cells of the interfollicular zone
Ovary, stroma – A faint MCM3 staining can be seen in ovarian stroma cells
Pancreas – A variable intensity MCM3 immunostaining occurs in a small fraction of pancreatic epithelial cells. The rate of positive cells is particularly low in islets of Langerhans
Parathyroid gland – A variable intensity MCM3 immunostaining can be seen in a fraction of parathyroideal cells
Parotid gland – variable intensity MCM3 immunostaining can be seen in a fraction of epithelial cells
Pituitary gland, anterior lobe
Pituitary gland, posterior lobe
Placenta (amnion and chorion)
Placenta, early – Many cells of the cytotrophoblast and a fraction of stroma cells show strong MCM3 staining
Placenta, mature – Cells of the cytotrophoblast and a fraction of stroma cells show strong MCM3 staining
Prostate – Only very few acinar cells show MCM3 positivity. MCM3 positivity rather occurs in basal cells
Rectum, mucosa – A strong MCM3 immunostaining is seen in crypt cells
Seminal vesicle
Sinus paranasales – MCM3 immunostaining occurs in a fraction of respiratory epithelial cells
Skin – In the squamous epithelium of the skin, suprabasal and (weaker) basal cell layers show a distinct MCM3 immunostaining
Spleen – Most lymphocytes of the white pulp are MCM3 positive. A strong MCM3 positivity also occurs in scattered individual cells of all compartments
