Placenta, early – In the placenta, Placental Alkaline Phosphatase immunostaining increases continuously throughout the pregnancy. In the cyto- and syncytiotrophoblast Placental Alkaline Phosphatase immunostaining is rather weak in the first trimenon.
Placenta, mature – In the placenta, Placental Alkaline Phosphatase immunostaining increases continuously throughout the pregnancy. Placental Alkaline Phosphatase immunostaining is strong in the cyto- and syncytiotrophoblast of the mature placenta.
Placenta (amnion) – A weak membranous Placental Alkaline Phosphatase immunostaining occurs in amnion cells.
Placenta (chorion) – A strong membranous Placental Alkaline Phosphatase immunostaining is seen in chorion cells.
